Account Email Address
This is the email address we will use if we need to contact you with any questions or to send you any administrative messages.

Weather Notification Email Address
This is the email address we will use send your weather reports to if you so specify when creating your WxNotification records. Some weather reports exceed 160 characters and most cellular providers cannot handle more than 160 characters, so we give you the option of sending a given weather report to an email address instead of your cell phone. It may very well be the same email address as your Account Email Address.

To Calculate Local Time From UTC
WxNotice.com needs to know your local time from UTC in order to send you weather reports at the local time you specify. Please take into account your local daylight savings time. For example, if you live in Los Angeles, you'll want to select UTC-08 because UTC time minus 8 hours is Los Angeles time (for non-daylight savings). For the east coast you should select UTC-05 (for non-daylight savings). Please note that when daylight savings changes, you will have to reset this value!

Cellular Provider
We need to know who your cellular provider is so the correct email gateway is used when we send you weather text messages. If you don't select the correct provider then you won't get your weather reports! If your provider is not in our list, please email us at support@wxnotice.com and we will add it. We will then notify you when you can create your WxNotice account.

Cell Phone Number Format
Enter your 10 digit cellular phone number using this format: 000 000 0000. Do not use any other format and do not provide any more or any less than 10 digits. If you use any other format you may not receive your weather text messages.

Cellular Manufacturer
Select your cell phone manufacturer. If you don't see your manufacturer in the list, select 'Other' and then please use the 'Other' text box to tell us who your manufacturer is. We will then add it to the list so future pilots may select it.

Cell Phone Model
Type in your cell phone model.

Default Text for Reminders
WxNotice.com provides you with the ability to create 'Reminder' notification records. They can be for anything you need a reminder for. The reminders are sent to your cell phone and/or email address. VFR pilots can create one to remind them to close their VFR flight plans. When you create one of these reminder records, you can specify to have it delivered on the hour :00, :15 past, :30 past or :45 minutes past the hour. If you do not check one of the :00 :15 :30 or :45 minute checkboxes, the system will default to :00 on the hour delivery. Of course, you also specify what date and hour you wish to receive the reminder.

Send Image Format
Select which type of image format you wish to receive on your cell phone: JPG or GIF.

Weather Report Email Notices
Sometimes a weather report cannot be downloaded or found for a given airport. We may have been unable to connect to the weather server. The weather server may have been offline, overloaded or the connection may have timed out and therefore the specific report could not be downloaded and sent to you. If you want to be sent an email notifying you of this situation, then check (enable) this checkbox.

Image URL Link
At this time, AT&T does not support sending images to their customers using their AT&T MMS gateway by 3rd party companies. However, some AT&T subscribers may be able to receive an SMS text message containing a URL link to the image. You may then be able to access the link from your cell phone and and download the image that way (indirectly).
Regardless of who your cellular provider is, checking this option will cause a URL link to be sent to your cell phone or to your WxNotification Email Address address when ever an image is sent to you. Images and their URL links always work together as a 'team'. That is, you can have either the actual image sent to you or it's URL sent to you. All image delivery option settings on the main Account page affect both the image or it's URL, which ever one happens to be active for delivery.
You cannot send the image to one place and the URL to another - they always work together as a 'team' and either one goes to the same destination.

Images to WxNotification Email Address
N/A - Not Applicable. Ignore this option.
ALSO - Send all weather report images to cell phone and ALSO to WxNotification Email Address.
ONLY - Send all weather report images ONLY to WxNotification Email Address - textual weather reports will continue to go to cell phone.
These options are for those situations where you cannot display some or any images on your cell phone but you can get SMS or MMS textual weather reports OK. Some pilots carry PDA's with them and they can successfully receive emails with image attachments.
